This experiment at the interface between photography and performance deals with the feeling a group can sometimes develop that it is “in the flow.” This kind of flow, known as an autotelic experience (autos = self, telos = goal), arises when an activity is carried out without expecting future benefits because it is rewarding in itself. Within the flow, alienation turns into engagement, joy replaces boredom, and helplessness is transformed into a feeling of security.

Photography serves as a medium for dealing with current events, but it is capable of more than just depicting or documenting. With the help of images, we can not only talk about what we experience, but also what we can imagine. The exhibition (Being) in the Picture is devoted to different forms of movement and the possibilities available for capturing and depicting them.
