The Retrospective site is ideal for preliminary research. To deepen your studies, we are happy to arrange a visit for you in the Archive and Research Center, where we’ll gladly assist you with searching the physical archive.

Our visitors have the opportunity to research past festival editions in the file archive (documents, concepts, and various printed matter) and continue their studies in the Research Center, where the reference library with 3,000 publications (brochures, catalogs, monographs) and the press archive (reports from 1967 onward in the regional, national, and international press) are located.

The holdings of the media archive can also be consulted. They include photographs, negatives, and color slides as well as various audio, video, and film recordings with a focus on the documentation of the exhibitions and events of steirischer herbst (800 DVDs, 500 audio, video, and film recordings as well as ca. 145 boxes of photos).
