Ataya – Tea palaver in the sahelian tradition

In the Sahel region, tea has the capacity of bringing people together. There is a ritual of sharing the cups, and guests are always served first. The same pot of tea will be boiled three times, adding more tea, mint leaves and sugar. The taste of each round of tee is subject to comments from the drinkers. Le débat amène le débat.
