For a good ten years now, Lali Puna have been a shining star in the Indietronic firmament, illuminating the way and setting the style for many others. After a five-year hiatus, they are now returning with ”Our Inventions”, featuring the unmistakable voice of Valerie Trebeljahr and accompanied by fragile, multi-layered beats, catchy harmonies and whirring sounds. It glitters and sparkles with its light pop style that loses itself in deep, dense complexity.
The musical home and the associated artistic and family ties are reflected in the line-up of Lali Puna too: drummer Christoph Brandner also plays in the Tied & Tickled Trio and Markus Acher is founding member of The Notwist.
