Although a composition seems to be something finished, it always remains open in many directions: it is determined by factors such as cultural memory, the understanding of performers and listeners, their interaction, the performance venue, and much more. Tracing these connections and hinges, composer Katharina Klement provides insight into the creation of some of her works.
