In his spoken sonata Redner rund um die Uhr, Gert Jonke seized the opportunity of an allegory on human linguistic expression: a mouth and its owner have begun a dialogue, they talk with or argue against each other, occasionally a listener takes part in the conversation– are there perhaps three or is it, in the end, only just one who talks around the clock? ”Performed” according to the rules of concrete poetry and Jandl´s wit, this spoken sonata – enacted by Bernd Jeschek with perfect flair – is consequently dedicated to the memory of Ernst Jandl.
