What possibilities of action do visual artists have when it comes to everyday relationships as opposed to grand social debates? How do they decide whether to act or not to act? How do they deal with this decision? How are such considerations manifested in their work? What “strategies for avoiding misfortune” can we read out of their work?
With personal statements on the theme of this year’s steirischer herbst, Roza El-Hassan, Erwin Wurm and John Bock answer these questions at a series of lectures at Kunsthaus Graz.
