Under the name KURS, Mirjana Radovanović and Miloš Miletić realize artistic and research-based projects examining art’s potential for social movements.
For the exhibition 24/7, they develop a wall installation that takes its title from the Bertolt Brecht poem “On Bourgeois Belief” and explores the concept of laziness. They ask whether laziness is even possible in today’s society, which emphasizes productivity even in one’s spare time, and who benefits from our constant busyness. But what would happen if we did nothing? KURS’s project attempts to liberate work, leisure, and laziness from imposed meanings and looks for answers in different eras and geographical spaces. Their wall installation in the exhibition is a learning process in three phases; the third and final one takes place during steirischer herbst in the exhibition.
