A Bosnian woman once told a story about how she pretended that the war was not happening and, fed up with everything, took a walk even though she knew there were snipers. During the recent earthquake in Zagreb, a Turkish woman first sipped another cup of coffee and then calmly walked out of her building because she had often experienced earthquakes in Istanbul. Many people around the world reacted differently but also alike during the Covid-19 crisis.
