(Fear, Identity, and Paranoia)
Since 1989, the ideological field of Central Europe has become more and more divided by the notion of identity. Natascha Strobl and Robert Pfaller talk about the paranoia of right-wing politics. In conversation with Milo Rau, they explore how the political rhetorics of segregation, exclusion, victimization, and self-victimization function, questioning the ineffectiveness of postmodern-leftist identity politics in this antagonistic field. Taking its cue from the current debate about cancel culture, the discussion tries to provide a panoramic view of the culture wars underway in Europe today.
