Cultural dislocation – physical leaving one’s native culture or having a colonialising culture imposed upon – has become one of the characteristic experiences of the 19th and 20th centuries. The symposium Postcolonialism and Global Migration will discuss contemporary artistic production and ist reception within the context of this experience and questions linked with this subject.
